Is a Toronto casino in the near future?

Last month, the Finance Minister of Ontario Dwight Duncan made headlines by openly commenting on the possibility of a new casino in the city of Toronto. An idea that has been tossed around throughout the years, Mr. Duncan is the most senior official ever to make comments to the public about the government's willingness to consider the idea.

The conversation with the media takes place as the government awaits the release of the strategic business review being conducted by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). The report is expected soon as the OLG wraps up its review.
